Since 2006, we’ve been bringing bespoke hair and makeup services to LA, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and now to our La Jolla hair salon.
Luxe Lather Lounge was founded by Yumi and Korina, two industry-leading stylists known for their signature blowouts and flawless, camera-ready makeup, who wanted to create a luxury blow-dry bar with a deep commitment to innovation and excellence, delivering an elevated experience to everyone who sits in our chairs.
We specialize in blowouts that add volume, shine, and lasting hold, along with event and bridal makeup tailored to enhance natural beauty.
Yumi Kotani began her career in the hair industry at Robert Cromeans salon in Las Vegas, building her foundational skills to creativity in Los Angeles. Working in production and gaining valuable experience she has built her craft to combine her expertise with her entrepreneurial vision. Yumi relocated back to her hometown, San Diego to establish a La Jolla hair salon and luxury blow dry bar offering elevated styling experiences. Over the years, she has shared her knowledge as an educator, mentoring aspiring stylists and building a reputation for excellence in hair artistry. With a deep commitment to innovation and luxury, Yumi continues to inspire and lead in the ever-evolving beauty industry.
Korina Stratton began her career in San Francisco developing her skills in hair and makeup. Her talent and passion soon led her to become a traveling artist for destination weddings, specializing in creating flawless, camera-ready looks for brides across the globe. Seeking to bring her expertise to a larger audience, Korina partnered with Yumi Kotani to build Luxe Lather Lounge, a La Jolla hair salon and blow dry bar offering high-end hair styling and makeup services. Known for her attention to detail and ability to enhance natural beauty, Korina has become a sought-after artist in the bridal and event industry. With years of experience and a commitment to excellence, she continues to elevate beauty experiences for her clients.
