This September, Luxe Lather Lounge had the opportunity to travel to New York Fashion Week as guests of
Mr. Smith, one of the luxury haircare brands we are proud to carry in the salon. For us, the trip was about
much more than Fashion Week. It was a chance to immerse ourselves in education, connect with talented
creatives, and return to La Jolla inspired by what is happening now – and what is coming next – in hair, beauty
and style.

Why Mr. Smith

Born in Australia, Mr. Smith is a modern luxury haircare brand known for combining high-performance styling
with a thoughtful, ingredient-conscious approach. The collection incorporates Australian botanicals and
essential oils and reflects an understated philosophy of style, substance and simplicity. That balance of
beautiful performance, sophisticated formulation and effortless luxury makes the brand a natural fit for Luxe
Lather Lounge and for our unique clientele.

Taking Our Education to the Next Level

While in New York, we participated in an immersive Mr. Smith master class, diving deeper into the collection
and learning professional techniques, product pairings and insider tips for getting the very best from each
formula we use at Luxe Lather Lounge. We also had the pleasure of spending time with Freda Rossidis,
Creative Director of Mr. Smith, whose creative perspective and expertise made the experience even more
meaningful.

Mr. Smith has also introduced exciting additions to the collection, and we returned with even more knowledge
to share. We believe luxury service extends beyond the appointment itself: we want our clients to understand
what we are using, why it works for their hair, and how to recreate that polished, salon-finished feeling at
home.

Inspired by Fashion Week

Inspiration was everywhere in New York. From fashion and street style to the evolving direction of hair and
beauty, the city left us creatively recharged. Staying current is an important part of the Luxe Lather Lounge
philosophy. Trends change, techniques evolve and products become increasingly sophisticated, and we are
committed to continuing our education so our clients can hear about what is happening in the industry directly
from us.

We also had the opportunity to connect with extremely talented stylists and meet key members of the Mr.
Smith team. Those conversations, shared ideas and new relationships were some of the most meaningful
parts of the trip.

A Relationship We Are Excited to Grow

Our relationship with Mr. Smith is becoming even more personal: Yumi will be joining Mr. Smith as a Certified
Education Specialist in the Southern California area. We are thrilled about this next chapter and the additional
education, access and expertise it will bring back to Luxe Lather Lounge and our clients.

And, Of Course… A Little New York

It would not be a Luxe Lather Lounge trip without making time for a little fun. Between education and Fashion
Week, we squeezed in shopping in SoHo, incredible New York dining, a night seeing The Great Gatsby, and
a visit to ARTE MUSEUM – an immersive art experience that gave us yet another dose of creative inspiration.

We came home inspired, educated and even more excited about what we can offer our clients. Learning
directly from the people behind Mr. Smith reinforced exactly why we chose to bring the brand into Luxe Lather
Lounge.
